Monks Cowl car park to Keith Bush
It is advisable to spend a night close to Monks Cowl nature reserve before the first day of trekking. Our first day is a warm up that pushes us up an elevation gain of 591 m gradually as we explore the little berg, meandering through the trail as the Cathkin, Sterkhorn and monks Cowl tower over us.

We tighten our shoe laces for the epic climb of Grey's pass, our eyes will indulge in the awe inspiring views. We will gain approximately 1,500 m elevation to the Drakensberg escarpment and summit the third highest peak in South Africa.
