Day 01
Our journey begins with a pleasant walk from Injisuthi hutted camp, the river crossing is an exciting encounter that finds us at our best.

We proceed to meander along side Injisuthi river to Mbovaneni for 10.5 km till we begin Heartbreak hill, the heartbreak goes on for another 4.5 km till we reach our home for the night, Centenary hut.

Day 02
Waking up under the magnificent Trojan Wall, Injisuthi and the Triplets staring down on us, you can tell this is a day for the views.

Our walk begins with a contour path that is gentle as we move towards the South, steadily pacing for 6 km then suddenly The Judge looks down upon us, we are now in its court, Judges pass.

The gruelling incline begins, a 2 km climb that takes majority of the day, both hearts and legs yearn for the summit and finally The Judge makes its ruling, we are free.

Our pace returns like nothing happened on the escarpment, rejuvenated by our delicious lunch at 3100 m absl, we make for a 4 km journey to our camp for the night.

Day 03
An early morning start for the big day, ascending from camp to summit the highest peak in South Africa, as we approach the red giant, the landscape of Lesotho humbled behind it with the grand views to the west completely succumbed by a cover of clouds.

An additional 6 km walk immediately follows across the great Drakensberg escarpment, spoils of views of the Triplets, the Greater and Lesser INjesuthi Buttresses and the Red wall accompanying the journey to Leslie’s pass.

The descent through Leslie’s pass may be easily regarded as one of the most technical trails South Africa has to offer, from its shear raw steepness to its rockiness, at the end awaits 4.5 km of untamed wilderness as we bundu bash to the tranquil Marble Baths pools

Day 04
Return to the hutted camp from Marble Baths, an easier 8 km walk.
