Witsieshoek Mountain Resort to Sentinel car park
Join us at Witsieshoek Mountain Resort where the adventure begins. Hop on our 4x4 shuttle to Sentinel car park, the starting point of our exhilarating hike, the ride is a 7km drive that is a spectacle of its own kind, giving the best views of both the Free State and KwaZulu Natal province.

Sentinel Car Park to the View Point
The hike begins with the challenging ascent of the Zig Zags, we will detour to the view point for the dramatic view of the Eastern buttress, Devil's tooth and the Inner tower before completing our climb to the base of the North face of Sentinel.

The Chain Ladders
For those uncomfortable with the 20m vertical climb, the Gully is the alternative route, but nothing complements this experience well more than facing the heart-pounding Chain Ladders.

We enjoy our prepared lunches either before or after climbing the chain ladders, lunching away as we soak the refreshing view of Namahadi falls and background scenery of the Maloti mountains.

Tugela Falls
After conquering the challenging ladders, our intrepid adventurers continue their journey to the awe-inspiring Tugela Falls, a majestic waterfall that proudly stands as the tallest in the world, cascading down an impressive 983 meters. As our skilled and attentive crew sets up your cozy tents, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the breathtaking view, take a moment to unwind and relax with a comforting warm beverage in hand.
